The system doesn't actuallyl know where most files are kept, but it knows where to look for them and in what order. First it looks in the wiki's custom directory, then up until it reaches the web root, then it looks in shared and in docTreeBits. This means you can put modified versions of any file in docTreeBits closer to the website and it will have an effect only on the wikis that find it This allows you the ability to completely customise your wikis and wiki arrays all within the same installation. This is what the 'unique' tool does though for STYLES.css and MAINFRAME.htm - it saves the modified copy in custom NB there are no other tools for this kind of this using the web interface - this must be done directly on the server, using FTP for example. |
