hello there

hello there

This white box is actually an included page. The page is just a div tag floated left.

To include a page, rather than link to it, use double-pipes instead of single pipes. (a single pipe in autolink mode).

That enables you to have one bit of content at several places on your site, and only to edit it in one place

This is the 'lemon squeezy' wiki demonstration / documentation website.

You can be granted top level access so you can explore, but don't be afraid! the whole thing is refreshed every ten minutes!

First of all if you can see the following link, then you are invited to log in (using passwords written on the login page). If you can't see it, then you are already logged in, and you should be able to see the tools at the bottom of the page.

A wiki is a system of webpages which can be editied on the spot, through a web browser

  • the Internet Explorer web browser
  • or a standards compliant browser (Firefox for example).

usually, logged in users can click 'edit' on any page, and modify the content.

You can edit this page now if you are logged in.

The text that you enter can be either:

  •  normal html, if you know it,
  •  formatted text entered with the FCK Editor (the top open source inline html editor).  FCK Editor.

Arranging the pages into a hierarchy couldn't be simpler.

  1. Click edit site structure
  2. use plain text and hashes (#) to indent the page names into an explorer like tree.

This same edit page allows you to edit the template and stylesheet, though not using the FCK Editor, of course. You can also edit custom php scripts to filter the page before it is rendered.

This wiki system is for the small organisation do do its own website publishing and project documentation. It is easy to learn and allows you to build small websites or clusters of small websites.

Easy conversion of an existing site

First you need to install lemonsqueezy at the root of the server. There are more instructions on the under the hood page.

Anyone can edit text instantaneously, but webmasters can really save time. Wikis are easily created, skinned, styled, renamed, retired, listed and published for public access, and are suitable for use your organisation's public facing website, for project documentation, or for internal communication. Wikis can be nested and and there is a flexible permission system. All file formats are obvious and it as easy to configure the system from the back as from the front.

Most small organisation web sites consist of several pages made to the same template, arranged in a shallow tree. To convert such a website to Lemon Squeezy might take ten minutes:

  1.  you just have to trim the template off all the pages
  2.  drop them files in the /pages directory
  3.  make a site map text file
The job is done and you have time left to tidy up the html and improve the use of style sheets. For more information go to importing
